This page will grow & change as I add pictures of my lathes & some pictures of pens & bowls I've turned.

Spinning & spinning the lathe goes round

This is my 1930's Double duty Delta lathe.

This lathe was found at a garage sale by my friend Carey & he purchased it & brought it to me.

The lathe is mounted on a glued up 2x4 top lag bolted to 3/4" material set on top of concrete block with  threaded rods run down through the block a shelf & the foot on each end. The lathe with stand weighs about 420 pounds. To move it I just put the shop floor jack under the middle & raise it off the floor & roll it to where I want it.

This is a picture of my Jet mini lathe won in a drawing.

I have the Jet lathe clamped in a Workmate by a cleat fastened to the top. This makes a fairly nice portable lathe set up that I can take to a turners get together & BBQ picnic.

Just a few pens I've turned
These pens were turned out of Rose wood or spalted maple.

Shop made chisel handles
These chisel handles were turned from spalted Maple

Gavel
This gavel head is turned from Purple heart the handle is Maple. The gavel plate is spalted Madrona.

A maple bowl
This bowl was real fun to turn & keep from blowing out.
